Aaaaaand it is here, FaB 2019 open call!
Calling all creatives to participate in the annual Bath arts festival with their artworks (or literally hands-on approach).
Fringe Arts Bath organises Bath’s only Visual Arts festival, and is part of, but run independently from, Bath Fringe Festival. We promote contemporary art in the B&NES region, supporting early career artists and curators, and those who find it difficult to break into (or prefer to operate outside of) the gallery based art scene. FaB is a not for profit voluntary organisation, and our volunteers gain valuable experience in all aspects of running an Arts organisation.
FaB works with regional Arts and Community organisations, and collaborations vary in scope from the provision of exhibition space and inclusion in FaB’s annual Visual Arts Programme to close involvement in project development. Collaborators include Keynsham Arts, the Big Issue, The Holburne Museum, Bath University and Creativity Works.
FaB uses unusual exhibition spaces, from street corners to empty shops and cafés, taking art to people who would not normally visit galleries.
On the webpage, you will find many call outs for variously themed exhibitions, including the one, which will be curated by yours truly, 21st Century Neanderthal.
Hope we get so many submissions, we won’t be able to choose! Get creative!
