When invigilating Seurat to Riley exhibition at the Holburne, I was reading its exhibition catalogue to kill time. And also because I should know more about the exhibition..
I came across an interesting point Dr Frances Follin makes in his contribution ‘An Optical View of History’.
So, here is my question. Can you consider op art actually to be a ‘happening‘ and not just painting? I have never thought about it in that way, however, explained by Follin kind of makes sense?
